Mere, Wiltshire

The Rev Hazel Barkham is a member of DYR but was unable to attend the London event. So she decided to hold a small, private commemoration of her own.
It took place in the little village of Mere in Wilshire and was attended by Hazel and her partner.
In response to our request for a report, Hazel wrote

Dear Paul,
We focused on From Deir Yassin to the Wall, the Story of Deir Yassin and remembered Deir Yassin in our village.
Salam, Shalom, Peace,

This is surely what we mean when we say that all it takes to remember Deir Yassin is two people and a candle.
